Bradley adventures: Arts and Crafts

I feel like I don't write in this often enough. I hope everyone is well. We are all healthy, in fact I had my first physical in over twelve years and everything was good, aside from a very minor hernia that was of no concern. I have been pecking away at those chairs. I finished the seat on the hornbeam chair (that is the loose woven seat). Ciara plans on putting a pad of some sort on it so I didn't want to use a lot of material but I did want to weave something so it didn't sit to high. I think I should have used a different material rather than sea grass(Hong Kong grass). It doesn't like the sharp turns and in weak spots will break if there is to much strain. The other chair I did the first loops too tight so the weave is difficult to put in and I cannot make them close together but I think it will work out, just not the way I expected. Some day I will actually know what to use and how to install it properly. I have posted a picture of the spoon and spatula that I made out of a piece of firewood. They came out better than I had hoped. I used the spatula making soup last night. I will try to put the soup recipe on here as it has become one of our favorites. It will have to go on my next post as I plan on putting it on as a picture. Brielle did some knitting at school and on occasion now does some at home. She is knitting a scarf I believe. Hopefully she has time to write tonight as I get as much satisfaction reading her contributions as I do putting in my own. She has been better about practicing her flute lately but she does have a busy schedule. She starts softball today right after dance class. We are very proud of how far she has come playing her flute. It is easy to tell someone that practice is the only way to get better but now it is obvious that the work was worth it. I hope she can see that too. I had my car inspected yesterday so I need to go trade my truck for it. I will try to get Brielle on here tonight.....
